Ladies and Gentlemen....he is walking!
Liam has been doing this ALL DAY today! It kind of came out of the blue, he would walk along couches and walls but was never brave enough to do it without any help. Well, that it until today! My 10 month old baby is walking.

Sin/Sick City
Well, Thursday nights Sloppy Joe's/Family Game Night wasn't nearly as successful as Monday nights festivities but we are a work in progress with the whole family structured time. I was a nutcase running around the house trying to get things cleaned, packed, and ready for the weekend. Chris was helping Maddy with homework and Liam was unpacking everything I would put in the bags. We DID get to play Battleship and Connect Four on our Wii before Maddy went to sleep which was fun, but I hope for a more exciting Thursday night next week.
Chris and I headed out for Vegas Friday afternoon after dropping the kids off at my parents house. Maddy later went over to the Bogus' house for the weekend and Liam stayed with my parents. I figured separating them would be easiest for all parties involved. They are both highly active children. I mean- I can keep things fairly under control when I have them together but we must also keep in mind that I am 'SUPER MOM'. Seriously. I have a cape, badge, and fanny pack filled with treats, toys, and booger wipes.
But back to the weekend. Liam drove my parents into a sleep coma come Monday morning. They said they didn't get to sit once the entire 3 days, the bathroom was soaked from floor to ceiling after a bath, and their lips were raw from all the kisses they gave. And Maddy, poor sweet little Maddy had a fever of 102 and was barfing all morning on Sunday. Insert MAJOR sad face emoticon. We have a little sick ritual we do when Maddy is not feeling well. Jammie's, ice pack, a small Tupperware bowl that we like to call 'barf bucket', and lots of pedialyte popsicles. It was killing me, KILLING ME that I couldn't be there to comfort her and was a whole 7 hours away. When we got home she was doing a little better. I hugged tightly and 'bum snuggled' her while we watched the tail end of the Golden Globes.
Vegas was a real blast. It was SO wonderful to spend time with friends we haven't seen in a while. Joe came from Seattle, Heather from San Diego, as well as the Tetzloff's & Garcia's who were all from Salt Lake. We danced, dined, drank, and gambled until the sun came up and slept the morning & afternoon away. Chris got heartburn and I received some lovely blisters on my feetsies from some stupid flip flops. We realize we are not cut out for that kind of partying too often but plan to make this a yearly event.
Tonight is Movie/Pizza night but seeing as though we just got back from vacation and don't have much groceries, I just threw a frozen lasagna in the oven and we are watching one of my favorite movies from my childhood: Land Before Time. This is, in a word - perfection!
Oh, here are some pictures we took on Chris' new MacBook Pro:

A day filled with love.....and pizza
Today our very good friend Chris Tetzloff married a wonderful WONDERFUL woman, Mayra. They decided to get married at the county office building by a Justice of the Peace. It was a tiny room but was filled wall to wall with love! Mayra looked absolutely beautiful and Chris looked happy and very much in love. Afterwards the small group of people that were there went over to Olive Garden to celebrate. Christopher and I were very pleased to be a part of such a wonderful day. I attempted to be the 'photographer' with our fancy shmancy camera. Some of the pictures turned out fairly decent. Chris - I expect a photographer fee. No, not really. But really.
As part of our New Year's resolution Chris and I decided to schedule out weekly structured family time. YAY! Today was our first day of trying out the 'Monday/Movie/Pizza' night. We rented 'Legend of the Guardians' (which is actually really cute) and made our own pizza. Yes, you heard me correctly. We made our own pizza - and it was delicious. Who knew making your own pizza could actually be good?? Maddy and I made it and daddy and Liam ate it :) Well...Liam didn't really eat it. He licked a few pieces of saucy olives. Maddy ate just enough to fill up her tummy but saved room for the chocolate crunchy thingies we got from the video store. All-in-all I'd like to think that tonight was a success. Stay tuned for Thursday night which we have set aside for family game night and Sloppy Joe's...

| She would put a pile of cheese on the pizza and then a pile in her mouth. This process went on and on and on... |

So I guess I've been a little busy!!
I just sat down and remembered that I have a family blog now and that I have been neglecting it for far too long!! I don't think that I really have the energy (or time) to update on all that has happened in the last couple of months so I will sum it all up with the word FUN! We have had so much fun during the holiday season! Halloween was a blast, Maddy was Rapunzel and Li-boy was a Lion. They were freaking adorable!! Chris even decided to dress up this year as an 18th century citizen. It was really well put together. I was the mom with the flu who stayed home and handed out candy to the kids...
Maddy had a dance recital at Murray High School. Her class was dressed up as the cutest little snowmen and danced to 'Let it Snow'. She also had a music concert with her school. They sang 'Ringing Joy for Baby Jesus' and 'Cancione De La Navidad'. It was very sweet and Liam sat still the whole time watching his big sissa on the stage.
Thanksgiving was very impromptu for us. We decided very last minute that we would have Christopher's parents and my parents over for dinner. I was not interested in botching the turkey so I called Harmon's and ordered a precooked one from them. Seriously. All I had to do was show up at 2 to the grocery store and there it was sitting in a giant box all cooked, basted, and waiting. It was yu-umy. Our little Liam tuckered out right when it was time to sit down and eat so he kinda missed his first Thanksgiving :( After dinner, we all played Beatles Rockband (much to my dismay). Saw everyone off and raced back to the kitchen for leftovers!!
Christmas was absolutely delightful. We pretty much had three straight days of Christmas activities. Christmas Eve Eve we had my family over for the annual 'Pajama and Music' night. My parents brought over a glorious dinner then we all snuggled around in our new Christmas jammies while Christopher played holiday songs on his guitar as we sang along. The next day we spent it all up in Park City with the Bogus clan at a 'mansion cabin' as we like to call it. Seriously, words cannot describe this place. It is fan-freaking-tastic. Our favorite part is the ginormous theater it has in the basement. Of course all we watched was Disney Channel and later a little Bourne Identity. We all ate the traditional curry dinner and said our goodbyes. Headed down the canyon and over to Chris' parents house for our Christmas Eve presents! 2 hours later we headed home with two very sleepy little children in the backseat and a trunk full of loot. Christmas morning arrived far too quickly (Santa was up way past his/her bedtime, setting all the presents up in the living room). Maddy was too excited to wait another minute after she got up, so we woke poor little Liam to come enjoy the morning with us. After all the presents were opened we headed out to my parents house for round three of gifts (my kidlets are SUPER spoiled)! We didn't get home until late that night and I believe that we all crashed in bed the minute we walked in the door.
New Years Eve was fairly low key. We all stayed in and snuggled in a pile of blankets. We watched movies and popped fresh popcorn. Li fell asleep around 9 o'clock while Maddy was determined to stay up until midnight. She made it all the way to 11:45... bless her heart! We let her stay asleep until the countdown. Then Chris and I woke her up, gave her New Year's kisses and we all went to bed. It was perfect.
